EastEnders news: Soap aired on BBC2 tonight as ITV cancelled Coronation Street & Emmerdale after Queen’s passes
AFTER a major schedule shake-up yesterday, the BBC decided to resume its regular schedule – with one small change.
While rival soaps Coronation Street and Emmerdale have been cancelled, EastEnders aired tonight on BBC Two, despite the nation still coming to terms with Her Majesty’s passing.
Earlier today, the broadcaster confirmed that the London-based program would air as an addition to the channel’s schedule.
Viewers caught up with all the latest drama in the hit soap tonight.
The instalment had a focus on Billy Mitchell’s arrest in the Queen Vic by DCI Samantha Keeble as well as Frankie Lewis’s devastating sexual assault.
Rose Ayling-Ellis‘s character is fighting for women’s rights in her exit storyline, with the actress giving powerful performances that will speak to women everywhere.
