RDR2: How John Marston's Exclusive Outfit Can Be Worn By Arthur
Red Dead Redemption 2 contains lots of outfits and clothing options, and Arthur Morgan only has access to some - unless he cheats, that is.
Rockstar Games' Red Dead Redemption 2 contains a lot of different clothing options, including some which are exclusive to John Marston, RDR2's only playable character post-story. While Red Dead Redemption 2 primarily puts users in the boots of Arthur Morgan, once the game's epilogue begins (and for the rest of their playtime on that particular save) RDR2 players are Marston, the main character of the original Red Dead Redemption, instead.
With this change comes new side missions and quests, as well as the ability to complete some of Arthur Morgan's unfinished business. John Marston remembers Arthur fondly in Red Dead Redemption 2's epilogue, and it is understandable that he would want to finish helping Arthur's friends after his passing, in addition to being a great way to not lock the player out of incomplete side missions. Marston also has some exclusive RDR2 content that only he can access, including a set of clothes Arthur isn't supposed to be able to wear.
John Marston's exclusive outfit in Red Dead Redemption 2 is called the "Legend of the East," and it is only unlocked after completing every single ambient challenge in RDR2's open world. This means players must complete every rank in the Bandit, Explorer, Gambler, Herbalist, Horseman, Master Hunter, Sharpshooter, Survivalist, and Weapons Expert challenges, something which is no easy (or quick) feat.
The reason Arthur cannot unlock this outfit himself is because of the Herbalist challenge in particular, since one of the ranks requires players to "Pick one of each species of herb" in the game, and multiple herbs, like Red Sage, can only be found in areas that open up after RDR2's epilogue. Red Dead Redemption 2 contains a massive amount of land from the original Red Dead Redemption, but these areas are only unlocked after the epilogue begins. There are glitches in RDR2 that allow players to get places they aren't supposed to go, but there is actually a much easier way to get Arthur Morgan into John Marston's exclusive clothes.
If RDR2 players want to get "Legend of the East," or any other outfit in Red Dead Redemption 2 on Arthur Morgan, all they need to do is input the cheat code for all outfits. Cheat codes are a common and much-loved aspect of most Rockstar Games titles, and in Red Dead Redemption 2 players can simply type out "Vanity. All is vanity" to activate the Unlock Every Outfit cheat. This will give Arthur the "Legend of the East" outfit, along with all of the other clothing options available in the game, without the need for glitches or waiting until every single challenge in the game is unlocked.
Red Dead Redemption 2 players should take note, however, that if they do use the "Vanity. All is vanity" cheat (with the period included) that they will not be able to save the game, so all progress they make after cheating will be lost. However, if they just want to check John Marston's exclusive outfit out for themselves to see if it is worth the trouble, this is the best way to do so. There are a lot of outfits in Red Dead Redemption 2, so if players aren't a fan of this particular look it's better to know now, before they spent hours and hours completing challenges.
