Sky broadband down in south west England as customers struggle to work from home
HUNDREDS of Sky customers are reporting problems with their broadband this morning, and the telecoms firm has confirmed a technical issue in Cornwall.
It comes at a time when millions of people in the UK are working or studying at home after the country went into lockdown in a bid to stop the spread of coronavirus.

According to website Down Detector, there are currently 552 reports of problems with 93 per cent saying it’s about internet.
The issue seems to be concentrated in the south of the country, although Sky has admitted on its Twitter channel that there is a problem in the Cornwall area.
A customer services representative wrote: “NEW: Cornwall
“We’re aware that some customers in the area are reporting an amber internet light on their router. Our support teams are currently investigating this issue.”
Sky added that you can monitor service issues online or via the My Sky App.
One unhappy customer tweeted: “Need to work from home and need internet. Can we have an update please on estimated time of fix?”
Someone else added: “Can you please give people an estimate on how long it will take to get internet back as it is now technically the working day and has been for a couple of hours for some people.
“I am self isolating and there will be other disabled and vulnerable people that need this service ASAP.”
Another responded to Sky saying: “Glad you are aware of this! I am a nurse trying to work from home today! Hope that this gets resolved quickly!”
