Robber strikes in Goose Island, Lincoln Park
In each case, a man walked up to victims, grabbed property from their hands and ran away, according to a community alert from Chicago police. He brandished a knife during one of the hold-ups.
Police are warning residents about a series of robberies this month in Goose Island and Lincoln Park.
In each case, a man walked up to victims, grabbed property from their hands and ran away, according to a community alert from Chicago police. He brandished a knife during one of the hold-ups.
The robberies occurred:
- In the early morning March 26 in the 1500 block of North Clybourn Avenue;
- In the morning March 25 in the 2100 block of North Sedgwick Street;
- In the evening March 24 in the 1500 block of North Clybourn; and
- In the evening March 13 in the 1500 block of North Clybourn.
The suspect was described as a 5-foot-8, 170-pound man between 18 and 25 years old, police said.
