Scientists were tonight baffled at the bizarre sighting, which was made by eagle-eyed space fans.
One told The Sun: “Try explaining that one. It’s totally remarkable. Now we’ve got graffiti on Mars.
“It’s stellar recognition for the hit 80s film.”

The image came from NASA’s Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter which has been collecting information on the planet since 2006.
The discovery comes after we revealed that a colony of so-called “micro pigs” have been stranded on the Moon ever since a space probe crash-landed.
