The man had approached them as they sat outside a coffee shop in St Albans, Herts, and pushed a pram one of the tot’s was sitting in.
When Michael confronted him, the yob launched into a vile tirade of abuse in front of his horrified family.
A woman can heard telling their distressed children: “Don’t listen to this nasty person,” as the yob abuses them.
Michael told The Sun Online: “I was out with my family having a coffee on Sunday afternoon when someone came along and shoved the pram where my nephew was.
“My brother in law asked ‘why did you do that?’ and he said ‘it’s because you’re a dirty Jew’.
“He was being aggressive and kept telling me to sit down so I got my camera out and asked him to repeat it while filming.
“I was shocked and hurt by it and believe it was a racially aggravated assault.”
‘IT LEFT US VERY DISTRESSED’
The footage shows the thug, wearing orange, hurling racial abuse at Michael’s brother-in-law.
His terrified wife’s mother can be heard in the background as the man starts kicking at a barrier outside the coffee shop.
The man eventually walks off leaving the family shaken by their ordeal.
Michael said: “It left us all very distressed and uncomfortable.
“You can hear the kids and my mother in law panicking in the video. We were just trying to have an enjoyable Sunday afternoon.
POLICE INVESTIGATION
“When it happened, I was trying to shield the kids because you never what someone is capable of – especially in this day and age.
“There is a theme of Anti-semitism at the moment but I’ve never experienced it like this before where a guy was just walking past and was happy to get into a confrontation.”
Hertfordshire Police confirmed they were investigating the attack and are appealing for witnesses.
A spokesperson said: “Police are investigating a racially aggravated assault in St Albans.
“At around 2.15pm yesterday (Sunday 4 August), the victim – a 30 year old man, was sat outside Costa Coffee in St Peters Street when the offender (a male) walked past and shoved the victim’s pram which his nephew was in.
