Gunman killed in shootout in downtown Dallas
DALLAS — A masked gunman opened fire Monday on a federal courthouse in downtown Dallas before being fatally shot in an exchange of gunfire with federal officers, witnesses and authorities said.

Police searched downtown for other possible devices, and many downtown buildings were on lockdown or evacuated. Many streets were also closed.
A woman who answered the phone at a number listed for one of Clyde’s relative declined to comment.
