TYSON FURY eased past a vastly under-matched Tom Schwarz on his Las Vegas debut – destroying the German in two rounds.
Fury, 30, played to the American crowd from the off making an eccentric Apollo Creed-esque ring walk – wearing a USA robe, shorts and top hat.
He was warned not to take the fight lightly, having seen Anthony Joshua stunned by Andy Ruiz Jr a fortnight earlier – but it took just a round and a half for the Brit to complete the first bout of his £80million Top Rank deal.
Afterwards Fury informed his new US fan base he will return for another tune up fight in New York by the end of summer as he prepares to rematch Deontay Wilder next year.
Fury said: “I came here to have fun, enjoy it, put on a show for Las Vegas. I hope that everyone enjoyed it as much as I did.
“We’re going to have another fight in New York and then we’re going to hunt down Deontay Wilder!”
The Gypsy King wasted little time getting to work in Sin City as he rammed his speedy jab into the face of Schwarz.
Fainting and fidgeting, the Brit peppered Schwarz with jabs and and the occasional left-hook as the German plodded forward looking completely out of his depth.
Fury came out for the second in the southpaw stance and left Schwarz with more of a headache as he failed to deal with the fast hands and feet of the former unified champion.
A moment of true showmanship saw the Brit hero slip and duck on the ropes as he mimicked the great Muhammad Ali before getting back to work.
While in the southpaw stance, Fury rifled in the left uppercuts – leaving his German foe with a battered nose as the fight became increasingly one sided.
After eating a succession of uppercuts Schwarz was backed into the ropes and a reverse one-two combination finishing with a right hand had the 25-year-old on his knees.
Smelling blood, and the chance to impress his new fans, Fury piled on the pressure backing up his man into a corner and letting the hooks go.
After making no attempt to throw a punch back – almost waiting for the fight to be halted – referee Kenny Bayless put Schwarz out of his misery.
The unbeaten Mancunian scored his first KO in five years with his last three stoppage wins coming through retirement on the stool.
After the win, Fury said: “Thankyou America and God bless you all!
“The key tonight was to enjoy myself. I switched up to southpaw, caught him with a straight left. It would have put anyone away.
“I’ve put on 12 pounds. But the lineal champion is back. Bring them all on!”
Fury’s US promoter Bob Arum plans to have the 6ft 9in slickster box twice more in the US before the year is out in order to build his name Stateside and drum up interest for the Wilder rematch.
The veteran boxing chief claimed not since heavyweight icon Ali has there been a fighter with more “charisma” than the Gypsy King.

Arum said: “That was amazing. Tyson Fury is a force of nature.
“This was one of the great shows I’ve ever seen and not just because of the boxing. He’s an entertainer. He is truly unique.”
“Now that he’s in shape, he can knock out every heavyweight in the world. I haven’t seen a fighter with that much charisma since Muhammad Ali.”
