WASHINGTON (AP) — A frustrated Speaker Paul Ryan chided House Republicans for election-season infighting over immigration that sank the party's farm bill last week, participants in a closed-door meeting said Tuesday. Leaders said they will schedule a late- June showdown over immigration, an issue that has divided the GOP for years. "I think he said 'gee whiz' and 'gosh' and used the word 'crap' once," Rep. Mark Amodei, R-Nev., said of Ryan's remarks to his colleagues. "For Paul Ryan, 'crap' is pretty blue language.

Slack is giving developers tools to build new integrations that turn clicks on messages into actions on their own platforms. Developers including Asana, Jira, Pocket, and Zendesk have integrated the new “action buttons,” as they are known, letting you perform actions on those services directly from Slack messages. While aspects of this feature were previously available using slash commands, Slack executives say that showcasing the options in a visual interface will boost their usage.

Relief at last for America’s not-at-all-hard-hit banking sector.

The banking industry is having a very good year.

The Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation announced Tuesday that America’s banking sector hit a new record high of $56 billion in net income in the first quarter of 2018. Some of this, they say, was attributable to last year’s tax cut bill, which gave banks a substantially lower effective tax rate.
