Sorry Tom Brady, New England has a new GOAT
D’awww.
It’s been three months since the Philadelphia Eagles lost to the New England Patriots in Super Bowl 52, but Franklin Park Zoo in Boston just rubbed a little salt in the wound in the cutest way possible.
On Tuesday, the zoo introduced the world to Foles, its new two-week-old Nigerian dwarf goat, named after the Eagles’ Super Bowl MVP quarterback Nick Foles:
We don’t kid around when it comes to Super Bowl bets … so today, we make good on our wager with @phillyzoo & introduce you to Foles, the 2-week-old Nigerian dwarf goat at #FPZoo!

The new kid is named after @Eagles quarterback, #NickFoles. Bet refresher: https://t.co/WBnxvRSgUL pic.twitter.com/LC3cfFG6zM
Foles the quarterback passed for 373 yards with three passing touchdowns and even caught a touchdown against the Patriots. Foles the goat has only been around since April, but it looks like he’s already racking up rushing yards.
The bet was originally issued by Zoo New England as a challenge for the Philadelphia Zoo, which makes sense considering Nick Foles has been called the GOAT ... hmm ... never? The exception is maybe Philadelphia where he’ll be a legend forever, but even there he’ll be a backup to Carson Wentz when the quarterback returns from injury in 2018.
Tom Brady, on the other hand, is the all-time leader in a whole bunch of things, celebrated his 40th birthday with live goats, and gets called the GOAT all the time.
It’s probably safe to say Zoo New England was confident there was going to be a baby goat named Brady in the Philadelphia Zoo. That makes Foles the Boston goat even more delightful and a way better bet than the duel of Rocky statues between the Boston and Philadelphia mayors,
