Garoppolo leads 49ers to comeback win in starting debut
CHICAGO - The 49ers got something more important than their second win of the season Sunday: Fairly strong assurance they have their quarterback of the future. In his third career start, and his first with his new team, Jimmy Garoppolo routinely flashed franchise-QB qualities en route to leading the 49ers to a 15-14 come-from-behind win over the Bears at Soldier Field. The 49ers improved to 2-10 on Robbie Gould’s 24-yard field goal with four seconds left, a kick that came after Garoppolo directed a 14-play, 86-yard drive that began with just over five minutes remaining.
