Yoenli Hernandez Makes Statement, Stops Gausha In Four
By David Finger
In boxing, Father Time is undefeated.
Boxing’s toughest warrior, a fighter widely regarded as one of the best boxers not to have ever won a world title in this era, has finally been stopped. Undefeated Yoenli Hernanez, 158.4, dominated Cleveland, Ohio’s Terrell Gausha, before the fight was waved off by referee Allen Huggins at 1:17 of the 4th round. Hernandez made a statement that he is the best junior middleweight in the world with his performance, but the stoppage did nonetheless feel a little quick. With the win Hernandez improves to 10-0, 9 KOs while Gausha falls to 24-6-1, 12 KOs. Hernandez won the NABO title with the win.
