Report Mastantuono loan proposal from Napoli rejected by Real Madrid
According to Marca, Napoli have asked Real Madrid about the possibility of taking Franco Mastantuono on loan in January, but were rejected outright.
The Partenopei are looking for new midfielders after an injury crisis ruled out Kevin De Bruyne, Andre Frank Zambo Anguissa and Billy Gilmour.
They had limitations placed on their budget, meaning any new signings must be paid for with sales, so are trying to get reinforcements on loan instead.
Mastantuono not leaving Real Madrid
However, Real Madrid are seemingly not prepared to even consider the option of loaning out Mastantuono.
The giants paid €60m to sign him from River Plate over the summer in a bidding war with Paris Saint-Germain.
The young Argentine is only 18 years old, and scored his first goal against Levante, but a groin injury in early November stalled his progress.
Real Madrid remain confident that Mastantuono must remain with them for this season so that he can adapt to European football, without going on loan to Napoli.
