Trust that the wait is making space for something real, something lasting, something worth every moment you had to be patient.
God,
I don’t know who they are yet, but I’m praying for them today.
The person who will see me, and choose me, and love me the way you have always intended for me to be loved. I’m asking you to protect them, to guide them, and to prepare their heart the same way you’re preparing mine.
Heal whatever they need healed before we meet. Deliver them from anything that would keep them from being ready for what we’re building together. Teach them how to love well, how to lead with integrity, how to choose me even on the hard days.
And God, do the same work in me. Make me the person they need, not by changing myself, but by becoming more of who you created me to be.
I am trusting you to bring us together when we’re both ready, God. Not a moment too soon, not a moment too late. Until then, help me grow, help me heal, and help me prepare my heart for the love I have been praying for.
