The FBI Had Evidence Against Jeffrey Epstein in 1996, They Did Nothing.
Newly released documents reveal that Maria Farmer filed an official FBI report on September 3, 1996, detailing Jeffrey Epstein’s sex trafficking operation. The report, documented as form FD 71, was labeled under child pornography and described stolen photographs of underage girls, including Farmer’s sisters who were 16 and 12 at the time.
Farmer named Ghislaine Maxwell. She described a trafficking ring. She provided specific details about sexual abuse and exploitation of minors.
The FBI filed the report and did nothing. For decades, Epstein continued operating. Countless young women and girls were abused after that September day in 1996.
Survivors like Virginia Roberts Giuffre, who isn’t alive to see this vindication, suffered because federal law enforcement ignored credible evidence of child sex trafficking.
Annie Farmer, Maria’s sister, spoke publicly about seeing the 1996 FBI form for the first time. “We’ve been saying it over and over,” she said, “but to see it in black and white that way has been very emotional.” The survivors were telling the truth from the beginning.
The FBI knew.
