WATCH: Tommy La Stella Homers In 2nd Straight Game Against The Brewers
Once a Cub always a Cub?
Tommy La Stella entered this week’s series against the Brewers with only four hits in 28 at-bats in his first season playing with the Angels. Well, on Monday, he walked and hit a two-run homer to help his new team beat the Brewers 5-2. And you know, help the Cubs in the standings too.
Then, on Tuesday night with the Angels already up 3-0, La Stella blasted another homer, a three-run shot to right field to give the Angels a six-run lead over the Brewers.
Cubs fans will certainly be grateful for the help. Must have been something about seeing his former division rivals, as La Stella started 2019 with only 10 career home runs in about 830 MLB at-bats. In two games against the Brewers La Stella has already doubled his home run total from last season.
Jesse Rogers is out there reminiscing about Tommy as we speak.
The Brewers immediately responded with three runs in the second inning to cut the lead in half, so go ahead and hit another bomb, Tommy. Thanks.
UPDATE
He did it again!
