Motorcyclist killed in head-on crash on Hwy. 1 in Marin County
Highway 1 was partially closed in western Marin County for four hours on Tuesday after a motorcyclist fatally collided head-on with a septic truck on a stretch of road between Bolinas and Stinson Beach, officials said.
CHP, Marin County Fire and the Marin County Sheriff’s Office all responded, and the motorcyclist received medical attention but was pronounced dead at the scene, CHP officials said.
The crash blocked the southbound lane of the highway, so one-way traffic control was in effect from about 10:30 a.m. to about 2:30 p.m.
