Ex-Warrior Stephen Jackson admits to smoking weed before games
Former Warriors forward Stephen Jackson admitted in a recent podcast that he occasionally smoked marijuana before games.
[...] me and (teammate) Baron (Davis) are coming out the locker room just screaming, excited with our last pink slip saying we could smoke for the rest of the season, and Don Nelson hauls ass down there giving us high-fives, like, 'Yeah, we can smoke now!’ It was cool, the fact that he knows what’s going on off the court with his players, which was great, man.
The highlight came in 2007, when he helped eighth-seeded Golden State upset top-seeded Dallas in the first round of the playoffs.
Jackson, 38, has been a vocal supporter of relaxing marijuana restrictions in the NBA.
In a May appearance on The Jump, he discussed how much stricter the league’s marijuana regulations became during his 14-year career.
