Robert Moses, SF Ballet’s Tan win Izzie Awards
San Francisco Ballet principal dancer Yuan Yuan Tan, choreographer Robert Moses and the San Francisco Dance Film Festival are among the winners of the 30th annual Isadora Duncan Dance Awards.
The ceremony, dedicated to honoring the best in Bay Area dance, was held Monday evening, March 21, at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts Forum.
Outstanding achievement in performance (Ensemble) went to the San Francisco Ballet’s Mathilde Froustey and Tiit Helimets for their dancing in “Giselle” and to Ilaria Guerra and Alexander Vargas of DawsonDanceSF.
Special award honorees were the 50th Anniversary Committee and the Oakland Ballet staff for “Five Decades of Dance,” Dancers Group and inkBoat for “95 Rituals (for Anna Halprin),” the Deborah Slater Dance Theater, and the San Francisco Dance Film Festival.
