Lincoln remains in control with 52-18 rout of Galileo
It was thorough. It was complete. It was tidy.
Lincoln football coach Phil Ferrigno couldn’t have been any more pleased with his team’s 52-18 Academic Athletic Association home victory over defending state 6-A champion Galileo on Saturday.
DeSean Crawford rushed 31 times for 194 yards and five touchdowns and quarterback Jovon Baker added 77 yards rushing and two more scores as the Mustangs (7-0, 3-0) executed their ball-control offense to perfection while keeping Galileo’s high-powered attack largely off the field.
Lincoln took leads of 17-0 and 31-12 in the first two quarters, then kept adding on behind a dominating performance by both lines.
