Game grades for the Raiders’ loss to the Seahawks
Offense
The Raiders were held under 200 yards for just the third time since 2014. Their longest play was a 21-yard catch by Jalen Richard, and their second longest was a 15-yard scramble by Derek Carr. It was all Carr could do to escape the pressure as he was sacked six times, hit 10 more times and lost two fumbles.
Defense
Seattle averaged 6 yards per play and converted 9 of 13 third-down plays. End Bruce Irvin said the Raiders knew Seattle would try to run the ball. And it did — including on the first seven plays of the game — totaling 155 rushing yards. Third-round pick Arden Key’s first NFL sack was a rare highlight.
Special teams
Johnny Townsend had punts of 27, 28 and 37 yards.
