Slain woman's family pressures police for answers
SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — The family of a Mexican woman found dead in Provo arrived in Utah on Tuesday night to meet with investigators and pressure them to solve the case.
The visit was the first time that the family had been in Utah since the remains of Elizabeth Elena Laguna Salgado, 26, were discovered by a passer-by looking for a camping spot last month.
"Our goal is to find the monster that did this," her uncle, Rosemberg Salgado, said on Wednesday according to the Provo Daily Herald . He was joined in Utah by another one of the woman's uncles, as well as her mother and father.
The family planned to speak with detectives and visit the site in Hobble Creek Canyon where Salgado's remains were discovered late last month.
