Principal placed on leave after indecent liberties charge
MURPHY, N.C. (AP) — A North Carolina high school principal has been placed on administrative leave without pay after he was charged with taking indecent liberties with a student.
The Asheville Citizen-Times reports Cherokee County Sheriff's Office detective R.L. Williams said Murphy High School principal Thomas Graham was arrested in February and initially placed on administrative leave with pay. Williams said Graham's arrest stemmed from complaints about his behavior two years ago which were reported to the sheriff's office.
Graham is also under investigation by the State Bureau of Investigation.
