Names & Faces: LaVar Ball, Jordan Spieth
LaVar Ball
Add another line to the biography of the all-involved father of the basketball-playing Ball brothers. For a few hours Tuesday morning, if you did a Google search for “nba founder,” you were greeted with the elder Ball’s name and photo. Ball may be many things, but he’s certainly not 150 years old, roughly how old he’d have to be to have created the game before James Naismith. “Clearly we dropped the ball,” a Google spokesperson told TMZ. “Our team worked to address this issue quickly and within hours of being notified, we were able to fix the issue.” Ball is the father of Lakers rookie guard Lonzo Ball. Lavar’s younger sons, LiAngelo and LaMelo, have signed to play in Lithuania.
