Pac-12 notebook: WSU QB Luke Falk etches name in record books
This week’s conference call between Pac-12 football coaches and the media felt like the lifetime-achievement edition.
Program-changers like Colorado’s Phillip Lindsay and Oregon’s Royce Freeman were discussed, and the recent achievements of Washington’s Dante Pettis and Washington State’s Luke Falk were celebrated.
Pettis’ 64-yard punt return for a touchdown in a 38-3 win over Oregon was the ninth of his career, breaking the NCAA record. Falk became the Pac-12’s all-time leading passer in leading the Cougars past Stanford 24-21.
With 13,806 passing yards, Falk is well clear of Oregon State’s Sean Mannion.
