GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) — Authorities have released the name of a man who died in a forklift accident at a Green Bay trucking company earlier this week. The Brown County medical examiner identifies the man as 59-year-old Peter Bulkowski of Krakow. Bulkowski died at Venture Logistics Monday afternoon. Preliminary autopsy results confirm he died of injuries suffered in the workplace accident. The U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration is investigating along with Green Bay police.

Investors in search of supercharged returns are plugging more dollars into investments that aim to give double or even triple the daily returns of boring old index funds. LOS ANGELES (AP) — An American Airlines plane with a mechanical problem landed safely Thursday after declaring an emergency and diverting to Los Angeles International Airport. Flight 564 landed and taxied normally to the gate, where all passengers walked off with their luggage, said Los Angeles Fire Department spokesman Brian Humphrey.

WASHINGTON (AP) — Federal Reserve Chair Janet Yellen cautioned Thursday that global economic pressures pose risks to the U.S. economy but said it's too soon to know whether those risks are severe enough to alter the Fed's interest-rate policies. (AP) — Atlanta-based ExpressJet Airlines is adding to its maintenance operations at the Shreveport Regional Airport. ExpressJet is adding a new heavy maintenance and overhaul operation at a facility it has operated at the airport since 2003.

Los Angeles Fire Department spokesman Brian Humphrey says two passengers asked to be evaluated by paramedics in the terminal for respiratory irritation. An American Airlines spokesman says the pilot reported a mechanical problem, but did not elaborate. BALIKESIR, Turkey (AP) — A Syrian man saved in a dramatic rescue operation following a migrant boat accident says his goal was to reach Germany but now he is unsure of his future. Pelan Huseyin, 20, was rescued by a Turkish coast guard helicopter Monday as he clung to the tip of an almost submerged boat which sank in the Bay of Edremit on its way to the Greek island of Lesbos.
