I suppose the last 2 games have encapsulated the season as a whole, very good at times, to very poor. This group just don't seem to be able to back up a good performance, which is slightly worrying. I can only think it's an attitude, mental thing, which is where the coaching staff come into play? I would say generally our better performances this season have come against teams that have finished above us, which means it's not a fitness, ability thing. Scored some good tries (Chisholms was a cracker) but far too many schoolboy errors again. 2 hospital passes to Ethan in our own 30. So frustrating at times. Its a small pitch, we can kill them with off-loads.

Also with Hallas last week proving to anyone who had any doubt that he's not a hooker, Halafihi having a dodgy start today, i really question the decision to let Butterworth go.

With the loss of Dave and other UKTV/BBC-affiliated channels, Virgin Media has introduced some new channels.

One of these is FreeSports (channel 130), on which I am currently enjoying Egremont Rangers vs Wath Brow.

They've got some other RL stuff on here such as Rugby AM and Back Chat.

Very random but a nice surprise.

Biggest and most important next signing is a bloody good coach.

I know they have said they’ll look at it at the end of this term but I hope it’s a true root and branch one. We’ve failed on so many levels it’s untrue. Someone mentioned to much power distilled into one mans hands a few years ago, seems they were right.

Recruitment - cack
Academy - cack (but pulled round)
Coaching - cack (hopefully dragged round)
We’ve taken our eyes off the ball big time.

This idea is most probably garbage and impractical and unworkable, but I've just had a coffee so I'm buzzing and thought I'd mention it anyway.

Most people in the UK (myself included) don't have a local RL team to follow. At the moment people either watch as neutrals, or they have to adopt a team that really they don't have any affinity with.
