A woman devotee luckily escaped after an elephant aimed a kick at her. The elephant was taking part in a ceremonial procession at a temple near Palakkad in Kerala, India on April 3. The woman had lined up with other devotees to greet the elephant. As it passed her, the woman tried to pat it, and the animal responded with a kick from its hind leg. This mad-cap monk drew an adoring crowd after he was seen taking his pet pig for a walk. Wichai Vichaiyah, 57 keeps the four-year-old female Vietnamese pot-bellied pig named Lilly at his temple in Chonburi, Thailand. Once a month, the monk dresses Lilly in a pink jacket, blue bow and sits a teddy on her back to walk her to a thanksgiving ceremony. Three people were taken into custody Thursday after leading Santa Ana police on a pursuit throughout Orange County. The chase began at approximately 11 p.m. The erractic driver sped through multiple freeways and surface streets at high speeds during the pursuit. The vehicle collided with one car and fled the scene in a hit-and-run crash. About 20 minutes after the initial crash, the car collided with a semi-truck. A man detonated two explosive devices inside a club in Ontario on Thursday (April 5). Former South Korean President Park Geun-hye has been given a 24-year jail sentence after a court ruled that she is guilty of corruption. Park was forced out of office last year following accusations she made conglomerates pay EUR59 million into private slush funds run by a friend. The daughter of the country's former military dictator - who has been in jail for more than a year - denied the charges bribery, abuse of power and coercion. The scandal exposed webs of corruption between political leaders and the countries conglomerates.

Today, Trump imposed additional $100 tariff on unspecified Chinese products to scare the Chinese. China's Ministry of Commerce has held a press conference in response to the US' latest move to impose tariffs on Chinese imports. The ministry said China does not want a trade war, but is not afraid of one, adding that the country is ready to protect its own interests. Personally, to be honest, if Trump dare not tell us what products are targeted in the $100B tariff, it is just dog barking. Ain't gonna scare anybody.
