Lil Tjay Arrested in Connection to Offset Shooting, Rep Denies He Was the Shooter: Mug Shot Released
Lil Tjay has been arrested and charged in connection to the shooting of fellow rapper Offset, though his rep denies that he was actually involved in the shooting.
Offset was shot while hanging out near the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Fla. on Monday night (April 6).
Police say that the incident began as a fight and the “situation was contained quickly.”
The police said it was an “incident that occurred at a valet area after 7 p.m. Monday outside of Seminole Hard Rock Hollywood that resulted in non-life-threatening injuries to an individual who was transported to Memorial Regional Hospital in Hollywood.”
Lil Tjay, whose real name is Tione Jayden Merritt, was charged with disorderly conduct in connection to the incident, police confirm.

The rapper’s lawyer released a statement saying, “We are issuing this release in regards to false rumors that Lil Tjay was involved in a shooting which occurred at the Valet Area of the Seminole Hard Rock Hollywood which resulting in non-life threatening injuries to Offset, formerly a member of Migos.”
“Lil Tjay has not been shot, nor has Lil Tjay been charged with any shooting. Any reporting to the contrary is false. We encourage people to consult trusted news sources, and to verify the accuracy of any reporting, before reflexively sharing or repeating baseless rumors,” lawyer Dawn M. Florio said in her statement.
Lil Tjay was held on a $500 bond.
