'I won't back down' - Dineo Ranaka
Dineo Ranaka said she is not going to apologise for the statement she made earlier when a grade 12 pupil asked her to sponsor a matric dance dress.
|||Speaking on Kaya FM's 180 with Bob this morning, Dineo Ranaka said she is not backing down on her statement to Miss Mnisi, a grade 12 pupil who asked Ranaka to sponsor her matric dance dress.
“Miss Mnisi sent me a tweet that expresses the urgency and the desperation of having me sponsor her a matric dance dress and she did so humbly and beautifully so as a matter of fact - and my response was that the dance should be least of your stresses, the aim is not to look rich, it to be rich #EducationFirst.
“Twitter then said we are going to have her for lunch, super dinner, breakfast, we're going to tell her she's ugly, we're going to tell her she was maponapona (naked) in her own matric , we are going to tell her all this nonsense. Yes they can tell all that nonsense, it that not change the fact that I am NOT apologising for that response, I am not apologising for that tweet.”
