Twitter Beef: Wendy’s Flame-Broils McDonald Over Its Meat
Where’s the beef? Between Wendy’s and McDonald’s, apparently.
Wendy’s thoroughly flamed its fast-food competitor McDonald’s on Thursday, asserting that there’s not much meat in McDonald’s pledge to make its Quarter Pounders from fresh beef starting next year.
The searing indictment came after McDonald’s made its proud declaration via Twitter, proclaiming, “Today we’ve announced that by mid-2018, all Quarter Pounder burgers at the majority of our restaurants will be cooked with fresh beef.”

And then Wendy’s grilled them good.
“.@McDonalds So you’ll still use frozen beef in MOST of your burgers in ALL of your restaurants? Asking for a friend,” the burger chain tweeted.
Ooh, sick burn! Beyond well-done, Wendy’s. And to your credit, you didn’t even use a hate symbol to get your point across this time.

Thus far, Burger King has stayed out of the fire and has not yet offered its thoughts on the latest McDonald’s move — possibly because it’s busy promoting its Whopper toothpaste.
