Drama as witches, evil spirits allegedly chase students out of school
Nyahonde Secondary School in Chivi, a local school in Zimbabwe has been closed indefinitely over suspected acts of witchcraft, which locals said led to bizzare incidents.

Naij.com learnt that pupils fainted mysteriously for successive days.
Local parents also insisted that evil spirits linked to witchcraft were tormenting the pupils.
According to Zimeye news, one parent said: “Mysterious incidents have been taking place at the school. Some pupils passed out under mysterious circumstances while a form two girl went into a trance for a long time,'' said one parent who declined to be named.

Wilson Machingambi, a local councillor in the community noted that angry parents withdrew their children from the school after the bizarre incidents.
He also said that the mass withdrawer prompted authorities to suspend lessons.
''The parents said that the new schoolgirl was behind the acts of witchcraft,'' he said.

''Goblins also manifested at the school,'' he added.
Meanwhile, when contacted, Howard Vulanda, deputy head of the school, declined to comment.
“I cannot say anything at the moment. You can contact the provincial education director on the issue,” he said.
