Golden Globes Winners by the Numbers: ‘La La Land’ to ‘Night Manager’
Musical film and AMC limited series took home seven and three awards respectively
Both “La La Land” and “The Night Manager” came away big winners at Sunday’s Golden Globes ceremony.
The film starring Emma Stone and Ryan Gosling walked away with a record-breaking seven Golden Globes, winning in every category for which it was nominated.
Best Television Series – Musical or Comedy and also Best Performance by an Actor in a Television Series – Musical or Comedy for series creator Donald Glover.
On the motion picture side, “Elle” star Isabelle Huppert upset several major contenders, including Natalie Portman and Amy Adams, to take home Best Performance by an Actress in a Motion Picture – Drama.
Sadly, the much talked about film “Hidden Fences” took home no awards.
[...] there is no such film, but Michael Keaton and Jenna Bush both flubbed the title of the awards contender “Hidden Figures” by combining its title with that of the Viola Davis-Denzel Washington drama “Fences.”
