"It is not necessary to keep in detention" - Mamuka Mdinaradze assesses attack at Gvaramia
Attack at Nika Gvaramia - the chairman of the Georgian Dream states that Rati Gachechiladze not be sentenced to imprisonment as a preventive measure. Mamuka Mdinaradze estimates that this is a minor crime and detention should not be used, however, he says that he condemns violence.
"I underline, there should be no exceptions, be it Gvaramia or any other person, the suppoerter of the Georgian Dream or the opposition television director , it should not matter. It is an established practice, for example, that for less serious crimes, detention as a preventive measure is not used and this practise should be continued, "- said Mamuka Mdinaradze.
Other members of the ruling party condemned the fact of violence and called on the appropriate authorities to investigate the case properly.
