‘Transformers: The Last Knight’ First Trailer: Optimus Prime Turns on Bumblebee (Video)
Paramount has provided “Transformers” fans with the first look at the fifth film in the franchise, “The Last Knight.”
The trailer for the action flick hitting theaters on June 23, 2017 dropped late Monday. The teaser is narrated by Anthony Hopkins, who asks the questions of all questions: Why do the Decepticons keep coming back to earth?
“Two species at war, one flesh, one metal,” Hopkins says while we see what seems to be a dead Optimus Prime. However, later in the trailer, we see Optimus Prime say, “forgive me,” before he stabs Bumblebee with a sword.

The “Transformers” movies have grossed over $1.3 billion at the domestic box office. In 2009, “Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen” was the biggest movie of the summer, while 2014’s “Age of Extinction” was the only film of the year to top $1 billion worldwide.
