Armenia-ADB cooperation discussed in Yerevan
Prime Minister Karen Karapetyan on Tuesday received a delegation from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) to discuss future cooperation plans and perspectives.
According to a press release by the Government, the chief of Armenia’s cabinet highly appreciated the mutual partnership in different areas and the effective implementation of joint projects. He briefed the guests on the Government priorities, and plans for launching a center for strategic initiatives. He also attached importance to the ADB’s possible involvement in the projects.
ADB Country Director Shane Rosenthal also hailed the partnership with Armenia, affirming their commitment to assist in not only joint initiatives but also the implementation of the projects considered priority for the Armenian Government.
The sides also discussed transport and energy cooperation issues and plans for expanding cooperation. The premier highlighted particularly the business development projects built on the state-private sector dialogue. He asked officials responsible for the sector to discuss future plans with the bank’s representatives.
