Can we take a break from building new churches?
Editor’s note: Former president Goodluck Jonathan last year boasted that his government built hundreds of primary schools across the country. He formulated the Almajiri system of education and built about 157 special schools for the Almajiris.
At the same time, some Nigerians claim that during the administration of Muhammadu Buhari some governors prefer building churches instead of schools.
Murphy Young, the NAIJ.com guest contributor, supposes that Nigerians should take a break from building churches and commence building industries.
Please, can we take a break from building new churches and start building industries and companies?
Our communities have enough of these religious centres already.
Let’s not forget that majority of those people in our congregations are unemployed.

They need jobs, employment and financial empowerment to start up businesses; not another church in a community where people are suffering in abject poverty and can’t afford the basic necessities of life.
Let’s build industries and companies so that people will have jobs, put food on their tables and wake up every morning to glorify God.
