Armenian ARARAT brandy awarded medal and Grand Prix of Moscow international contest
The contest, held under the patronage of the International Organization of Vine and Wine, brought together more than 299 samples of wines and spirits from 16 producing countries, including Portugal, Spain, Hungary, Russia, USA, Ukraine, France and Chile. The medal will be exhibited at ARARAT Museum, YBC said.
The Nairi brandy (20 years of aging, 40% alcohol) has been produced by Yerevan Brandy Company since 1967. Nairi is the winner of several dozens of gold medals.
Nairi is the most complex and deepest in the range of ARARAT brandies. Its noble multifaceted bouquet is perfectly balanced with spicy shades of pine nuts, the sweetness of thick, fresh honey and the light scent of peppercorn.
Legendary Armenian ARARAT brandies are produced by the Yerevan Cognac Factory by traditional technology, the foundations of which were laid back in 1887 by the brothers Vasil and Nerses Tairyants. Only the endemic Armenian grape varieties and crystal clear spring water are used in making the brandies.
Precious ARARAT brandy spirit is aged in barrels made of age-old Caucasian oak, manufactured by the cooperage of the company. In 1999 the Yerevan Brandy Company joined the Pernod Ricard Group, the world co-leader of the Wine & Spirits industry, which unites such brands as Chivas, Absolut, Martell, Jameson and others. -- 0--
