Fast food brands are fighting for every untapped corner of America.
To see which brands are winning where, we turned to geographic research company Esri.
Subway is the brand with the most locations, with 26,887 spread across every part of the country. McDonald’s comes second at 13,813 locations, also found everywhere. Starbucks comes third at 10,138 locations, concentrated in urban areas.

The brand has suffered falling revenue recently, however, with some people pointing to over-expansion. At $12 billion in US sales, it falls behind Starbucks ($16 billion) and way behind McDonald’s ($36 billion).
