Joe Sugg And Caspar Lee Compete In Hilarious US-Themed Challenges
Joe Sugg and Caspar Lee have amassed an astonishing 14.4 million followers on YouTube and 8.2 million Twitter followers between them. By the time you've read this sentence they will no doubt have been followed by even more. But they've expanded outside the realms of YouTube and social media: They've just finished a live tour called Joe & Caspar Hit the Road USA and this week they released a DVD of the same name.
In the film they travel through North America, competing in numerous tasks while they're there. So when they visited BuzzFeed UK recently, we decided to put them to the test with some US-themed challenges. And the results were as hilarious as you'd expect. Here's what went down...
1. Beer Pong
Laura Gallant / BuzzFeed
First of all, we think you should know that we listed five challenges for Joe and Caspar. They opted to do beer pong first – it was 10am on a Monday morning. TEN AM on a MONDAY MORNING.

Caspar started off with lots of potential.

But things soon went very, very, very downhill...
BuzzFeed
But then became such a pro he was scoring without even looking.
BuzzFeed
So Caspar had to drink beer after beer after beer.
BuzzFeed
And Joe became beer pong king by getting his ping pong ball in the final cup first.
BuzzFeed
Caspar failed so damn hard. Sorry, Caspar. Joe wins the first round!

2. Pumpkin carving challenge
Laura Gallant
Joe and Caspar were just given a pumpkin each, some knives (straight after 1oam beer pong ), and 10 minutes to carve the best pumpkin they could.
It didn't start well.
BuzzFeed
He had just drunk a lot of beer, tbf.
But then they got well underway.

Joe revealed the inspiration behind his pumpkin.

Then came the big reveal.

The official result from the BuzzFeed judge: Joe had the best pumpkin! Sorry if you disagree. (Caspar also agreed so you can't reaaaally argue with that, hey.)

3. Pancake flipping challenge
Laura Gallant
The boys had to compete against each other to see who could flip their pancake the most times in the space of 30 seconds. Sounds easy, right? Wrong.
Joe concentrated hard.
"Please don't look at my concentrating pancake face."
BuzzFeed
And did pretty well, apart from dropping his pancake numerous times.
BuzzFeed
He was pretty pleased with his score of 17. Go Joe!

4. Baseball Bat/Jumping Jacks Challenge
Laura Gallant / BuzzFeed
This time Joe and Caspar had to run around a baseball bat five times to make sure they were nice and dizzy, then see how many jumping jacks they could do in 30 seconds afterwards. This was reduced to 23 seconds when Joe realised how hard it was. LMAO. So here's what happened in 23 seconds...
Before Caspar totally stacked it into our backdrop.
BuzzFeed
Lolololol.
The result: Joe AND Caspar both managed to do 27 jumping jacks in 23 seconds. It's their first draw!
BuzzFeed
And finally...
5. Hot dog eating challenge
Laura Gallant / BuzzFeed
The best challenge of them all! Joe and Caspar had a mound of hot dogs each, as seen above. They had to see how many they could eat in three minutes and the winner was the one who managed the most. It was way harder than it sounds and one of them failed quite miserably...
Joe wasn't sure about Caspar's technique.
BuzzFeed
Like really, reaaaally struggled.
BuzzFeed
We're two minutes in at this point, btw. That is his first hot dog he is holding.
Tbf, Caspar didn't do ~much~ better but he went for it right at the end.
BuzzFeed
And won the final round!
Joe managed to eat one hot dog. ONE. Caspar ate two.
BuzzFeed
And the final result is *drumroll*....
Three points each! It's a draw.
Laura Gallant/BuzzFeed
Well done both and thanks for playing along so hilariously, guys!
