But the PDP in the state has rejected the results describing it as adulterated.
The party said contrary to the results declared by INEC, those that were announced at the polling units and wards across the state shows the PDP would have won by over 30,000 votes.
Meanwhile, factional chairman of the PDP Ali Modu Sheriff has refused to promptly reject the results from the just concluded Edo election that declared All Progressive Congress (APC) candidate Godwin Obaseki as winner of the exercise.
Vanguard quotes the deputy national chairman of Sheriff’s faction of the party, Dr Cairo Ojougboh as saying: “We will await the final announcement of the result, consult widely before making our decision public”.
His position is at variant with that of the Ahmed Makarfi-led faction which has outrightly rejected the results, saying that they were cooked.
