– The Nnewi based side will face one of Enyimba and Nasarawa United
– Akwa United are the current holders of the Nigeria Federation Cup
FC IfeanyiUbah have qualified for the final of the 2016 Nigeria Federation Cup after defeating Crown FC in the semi-final in Kaduna on Wednesday, September 28.
Crown FC defeated the likes of Enugu Rangers and Wikki Tourists enroute to the semi-final before losing 2 – 1 in Kaduna by FC IfeanyiUbah.
The other semi-final will see Enyimba tackle Nasarawa United with the eventual winners of this cup competition representing Nigeria in next year’s CAF Confederation Cup.

Crown took the lead after 15 minutes in their semi-final before Elu Wilson restored parity after 21 minutes.

FC IfeanyiUbah took the lead in the 56th minute through a penalty which was converted by Cameroonian midfielder Tamen Medrano.
What would have been an equaliser by Crown in 86th minute by Yakubu Ahmed, was ruled off by the referee, who was subsequently attacked by angry fans.
Play was eventually continued for ‘The Anambra Warriors’ to make the cup final.
The reigning holders of the Federation Cup are Akwa United who defeated Lobi stars in 2015.
