OSCE mission started Georgia Election Observation Mission
OSCE`s mission for observation of Georgia`s October 8 parliamentary polls was officially launched today. At this stage, the mission includes a core team of 12 experts from 9 countries based in Tbilisi, which will be joined by 26 long-term observers from September 5, who will be deployed across the country to monitor pre-election developments.
The October elections will be monitored by the Public Defender. Nanuashvili`s Office will study the pre-election process and human rights violations. Public Defender is still waiting for the government`s response to Kortskheli incident.
The local non-governmental organizations will also have a monitoring mission on October 8, .
OSCE election observation mission will present the first report on October 9 . The final evaluation of monitoring the authoritative international organization will issue 2 months after the elections.
