R&B singer Chris Brown is under criminal assault investigation after a woman called the police and claimed that he threatened her with a gun inside his home in Los Angeles, TMZ reports.
The LAPD are reportedly in the process of obtaining a police warrant to search Brown's home for a weapon matching the description the woman gave of the alleged incident.
According to TMZ, the woman was one of several house guests in Brown's home early Tuesday morning. She reportedly had an argument with the singer before, as she claimed to the police, Brown pulled a gun on her.
R&B singer Ray J, who was also reportedly visiting Brown's home, was handcuffed and had his car seized for search by the LAPD upon their arrival at the Brown's residence. He was later released, but the police reportedly "kept his car as evidence."
Brown has responded to the allegations in a video, in which he claims he's "innocent" and rants against the police and the media's portrayal of him. (Warning: The video contains language that is not suitable for work.)
