The Lagos state chairman of the party, Hon. Moshood Salvador, who made the accusation at an emergency assembly of Lagos PDP, at the party’s secretariat, also accused Jimi Agbaje, a former governorship candidate of the party in Lagos state and aspirant for the national chairmanship of the party, of allegedly tinkering with the delegates’ list from Lagos.
Daily Trust reports that Salvador said prior to the election, efforts were made to reconcile all aggrieved members culminating in the equal distribution of delegates’ list between the two PDP groups in the state.
He however, said the list was manipulated in Abuja, resulting in the names of respected leaders of the party like Senator Adeseye Ogunlewe, former deputy governor Kofo Akerele- Bucknor, among others, being removed.

The party chieftain said while party members were doing all to move the PDP forward, “some people in Ekiti were busy stoning our house here, we are leaving them to God,” in reference to Governor Fayose.
He said: “All the states in the North had meeting with Chief Olabode George in Abuja; they were all with him. Could you believe that five delegates were removed from all the states? The Lagos state delegates’ list is 66 but 61 tags were packaged for me. I was asking for the remaining five; they removed five names because of their manipulation.”
But Agbaje has denied the allegation, saying he was not privy to the delegates’ list in question as it was within the purview of the national caretaker committee.
Speaking through his media aide, Felix Oboagwina, Agbaje said the list could not have been doctored by him because the list was compiled by the caretaker committee.
Meanwhile, the Board of Trustees (BoT) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has asked the Ahmed Makarfi-led caretaker committee to form a new national convention planning committee which will be approved by the National Executive Committee.
This is to ensure a credible, transparent, free and fair national convention.
This was disclosed after its meeting on Monday, August 29, at the Musa Yar,Adua Center, Abuja.
The meeting which was presided over by the chairman of the PDP BoT, Senator Walid Jubril, resolved that the next national convention of the party will be in Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
