Exports of Armenian ferromolybdenum falls by 14 percent in 2015
More specifically, exports of ferromolybdenum to the Netherlands in 2015 fell to 3,600 tons (worth $34.6 million) from 3,700 tons (worth $61.8 million) in 2014. Exports to Germany fell to 1,900 tons (worth $20.1 million) from 2,800 tons (worth $47.9 million) in 2014.
According to the National Statistical Service of Armenia, production of ferromolybdenum in 2015 decreased by 14.6% to 5,800 tons.
Exports of crude copper and copper alloys in 2015 rose to 11,700 tons (the customs value was $65.5 million) from 9,900 tons in 2014 (customs value $71.8 million). The bulk of crude copper and copper alloys -11,700 tons (worth $ 65.5 million) was shipped to Germany, down from 8,900 tons ($ 64.8 million) in 2014.
At the same time, copper production in the country last year increased by 39% to 315,600 tons from 192,300 tons in 2014.
In 2015 exports of raw Armenian aluminum slashed by 51.4% - from 2,400 tons ($3.1 million) to 1,100 tons ($1.5 million). Production of aluminum in 2015 increased by 1.4% to 29,600 tons.
According to the National Statistical Service, total exports in 2015 declined by 3.9% from the previous year to $1.486.9 billion. - 0-
