Lawyers get SC notice for thrashing Kanhaiya
Toughening its stance against the lawyers who brazenly assaulted JNU Students’ Union president Kanhaiya Kumar and some journalists in the Patiala House Courts Complex on February 17, the Supreme Court on Friday asked three lawyers caught in the act on camera to explain why contempt proceedings should not be initiated against them, even as it started studying the demand to set up an SIT to probe the vandalism.
