Seth Meyers finds a ridiculous hole in Bernie Sanders' millennial electoral firewall

Young voters love Bernie Sanders so much that, according to one recent poll, more millennials would rather have a meal with Sanders than with Beyoncé, Seth Meyers said on Thursday's Late Night. And as with Beyoncé, conservatives — especially at Fox News — are incredulous that young voters like Bernie. They are also "in full on panic mode" that millennials embrace his brand of socialism, Meyers said. One Republican salivating about a Sanders nomination, though, is Donald Trump. Yet a poll last week showed Sanders beating Trump by double digits. "Honestly, watching them run against each other would be worth it just for the fit Trump would throw if he lost to Bernie," Meyers said. "I mean, Trump has a private jet with his name on it; Bernie doesn't even know the type of car he owns."

First, of course, Sanders has to beat Hillary Clinton. "Young voters have helped Bernie get this far, but those same voters could also pose a problem," Meyers said, noting through news clips that the key March primaries interfere with a sacred collegiate tradition. "This speaks volumes to the unpredictability of this election cycle that a candidate who looks like this will possibly be affected by spring break."
