SA sends condolences to cyclone-hit Fiji
President Jacob Zuma sent condolence to the Republic of Fiji following the deadly cyclone last week, which claimed at least 29 lives.
|||Cape Town – South African President Jacob Zuma on Wednesday sent condolence to the Republic of Fiji following the deadly cyclone which hit the south Pacific nation last week, claiming at least 29 lives and causing widespread destruction.
Zuma passed on a message of condolence and support following the devastation caused by Cyclone Winston.
“Our thoughts and prayers are with the people of Fiji in the aftermath of this severe cyclone which has wrought such disaster and devastation,” Zuma said. “On behalf of the Government and people of South Africa, I send my deepest condolences to the Government of Fiji and to everyone affected, particularly to the families and friends of those killed and injured.”
