Mourinho ready to wait for 'the right move'
Jose Mourinho has revealed he plans to wait until the end of the season before finding a new club and will only return to work prior to then if he has no other choice.
The Portuguese was sacked by Chelsea in December just seven months after inspiring them to the Premier League title following an unexpected run of poor form that left them in 16th and just one point above the bottom three.
His reputation remains largely undiminished, however, and he has been intensely linked with succeeding the under-pressure Louis van Gaal at Manchester United or returning to former club Inter Milan.
The last time he left a club mid-season, Chelsea in September 2007, he waited until the following summer to join Inter, where he led the Serie A side to the treble in 2010.
And it appears Mourinho is perfectly happy to bide his time once again.
Mourinho told reporters in Singapore: "If I have to return tomorrow, I return tomorrow.
"I always feel that it is better to wait and not to rush. It is better to wait for the right moment and the right move.
"I think starting next season with a new club and project is probably the best for me.
